Privacy policy

DiskMitra is a Windows app that analyses and cleans up disk space. It is made by EzSSC (“we”). This policy explains what information the app and this website use, and why.

The short version

• DiskMitra scans your drives on your PC. Your files, folder names and scan results are never sent to us or anyone else.
• There is no account, no advertising and no usage tracking in the app.
• The app goes online for two things only: checking a Pro licence, and (if switched on) checking for a new version.

What stays on your PC

Settings, clean-up history, free-space history, folder-size snapshots used for “What changed”, up to 30 days of Monitor history (processor, memory, disk and network use, and the names of the apps that used them), a log file and your licence status are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\DiskMitra on your PC. Uninstalling DiskMitra lets you remove them.

Licence checks (Pro only)

When you activate a licence key, and about once a week afterwards, DiskMitra contacts the DiskMitra licence service (diskmitra.ezssc.in). It sends:

• your licence key;
• a name for this activation, made from your PC’s name (for example “ASHA-LAPTOP · DiskMitra”), so you can recognise it later;
• the activation ID the licence service gave this PC.

The licence service replies with the licence status and the name and email address used at purchase. DiskMitra shows these to you in Settings and stores them on your PC. The licence service keeps the licence key, the activation names and the IP address and time of each check, so it can limit how many PCs use a key.

Update checks

If “Check for updates automatically” is on (you can turn it off in Settings), DiskMitra downloads a small file describing the latest version from diskmitra.ezssc.in once a day. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address to that server. No other information is sent.

Buying DiskMitra Pro

Purchases are processed by Razorpay, our payment provider. Razorpay collects your payment details to take the payment. We receive the order details (name, email, amount, payment ID) so we can send your licence key, support you and, in the rare case we cannot deliver a working key, issue a refund. We never see your full card number.

Support emails

If you email us, we use your message and any “support details” you paste in (app version, Windows version, settings and recent log lines) only to help you. We keep support emails for up to 24 months.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you visit.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you (order and support emails), or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to ezsscofficial@gmail.com. Data held by Razorpay can also be requested from them directly. If you are in India, these rights are under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; in the EU and UK, under the GDPR.

Children

DiskMitra is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
